Alex Bridges founded Tiverton Tax after serving as Chief Strategy Officer for a prominent investment management office in Houston. During his time in the wealth management industry, Alex identified a growing need for tax preparation that extends beyond basic filing—focusing on proactive planning to help individuals and business owners make informed financial decisions.
Alex is an Enrolled Agent (EA), a federally authorized tax practitioner licensed by the Internal Revenue Service. This designation is earned by passing a comprehensive three-part examination covering individual and business tax law, or through qualifying experience with the IRS. Enrolled Agents are required to complete ongoing continuing education and adhere to ethical standards established by the Treasury Department. They are authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS in all matters, including audits, collections, and appeals.
He is an alumnus of the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, where he earned his BBA in Finance. Alex resides in The Heights with his wife, Andrea, their daughter, Zoe, and their dogs, Beaux and Bella. Together, they enjoy exploring new cultures and spending meaningful time with friends and family.
For Alex, fatherhood remains his most important role, and he is passionate about making a lasting impact on both his family and his community. As he puts it, “Zoe and my poodles are a true blessing. I am thankful every day for the privilege of being their father.”
Alex’s dedication to family, community, and clients reflects the foundation of Tiverton Tax: delivering service with integrity, care, and long-term purpose.
An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a tax professional authorized by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). EAs have demonstrated technical expertise in federal tax matters through examination or qualifying experience and are required to complete ongoing continuing education to maintain their credential. They can assist individuals and businesses with tax preparation, tax planning, and representation in matters such as audits, collections, and appeals. By helping taxpayers understand their filing obligations, identify applicable deductions and credits, and navigate complex IRS procedures, an EA can support accurate compliance with tax laws and help resolve issues in a manner consistent with current regulations.
